Brian Judkins
General Counsel
Brian Judkins is executive vice president and general counsel at VITAS Healthcare, the nation’s leading provider of end-of-life care.
He leads a team of attorneys responsible for regulatory, corporate governance, and litigation matters.
Brian joined Chemed Corporation in January 2019 after a 13-year career as an attorney at Cincinnati law firm Dinsmore & Shohl LLP. VITAS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chemed.
At Dinsmore & Shohl, Brian was chair of the firm’s Business, Acquisitions, and Securities practice group and chair of its recruiting committee. His specialties included securities, corporate and transactional law, mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital/private equity.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan and a juris doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.
Brian is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Cincinnati Bar Association, and chair of 4C for Children, a nonprofit agency that promotes early childhood education and training.
